How to lose weight while still being able to eat meat?

Losing weight is, for most people, a difficult thing to do, it can be very difficult for a number of reasons such as you being used to eating excessively, you finding it hard to resist temptations, you not having the mindset to succeed, you don't know how to lose weight effectively and other reasons

Many people, in fact, probably most people who try to lose weight, fail, yes, that sounds awful, most people who try to lose weight fail and you should know this because you don't want to be one of them.

To be honest, the reason that most people fail is not because of some lame excuse, it's because they don't commit themselves fully to doing it, they don't have the mental will power and determination to do it and they don't have a plan to follow.

In my opinion, those three things are all you need to lose weight effectively and quickly:

1.) Commitment - You're either going to do it successfully or you may as well not even start, are you committed to losing weight? Do you truly, truly want to do it?

2.) Mental ability - Yes, you need to be mentally strong enough to resist temptations such as binge eating, you need to be mentally strong enough to push yourself.

3.) A plan - In my opinion, nearly everything we do in life is much easier to do when we have a solid plan to follow.

To continue with what I said about having a plan to follow, let me give you an example:

If you are going on a journey to a town that is sixty miles away from where you are now and you have never been there before, how do you find your way there? A map of course. You use a map to guide you to your destination, if you just tried to find it yourself with no sort of guidance at all, you would probably find yourself lost quite quickly, the map can guide you to the destination without much trouble at all.

Do you see how this is related to losing weight?

Let's say you want to lose xxx amount of weight in 60 days, now, unless you have experience or knowledge in this area of expertise, you probably don't have a clue on what the best or most effective and fast way to do this would be, this is where a plan comes in, a plan that has been proven to work and has been created by an expert will guide you through the steps you need to take in order to lose the weight.

In other words, it is very important to have a solid plan to follow, otherwise you may find yourself lost, discouraged, confused and basically ready to give up, don't let that happen, you don't want to be one of the people who try to lose weight and give up easily, then try again and give up again and basically just continue the cycle of never getting anywhere.

You CAN lose the weight, you WILL lose the weight and you will TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW and do what it takes to achieve your weight loss goal, in a few months when you look and feel much, much better and happier, you will be glad you did, so get started now!

Top 5 Weight Loss Myths Set Straight

One of the rising fitness concerns of the present generation is that of obesity. Majority of the people are trying hard to bring down their excessive weight to a standard level. With time, different sorts of exercise have developed. They have become a part of the workout routine of many individuals. However, there are myths which are associated with weight loss. In this article, we have set straight the top 5 myths that are common among the people.

With practical weight targets, it is easier to attain health

It is strongly believed that if an individual sets a practical target of lowering down the weight, then health can be easily attainable. However, in reality, this is not true at all. Studies have suggested that the more ambitious a goal, the more positive outcome is obtained. If an obese person aims for a drastic loss of weight, then chances are high that he/she can reach that target provided proper workout is performed.

Losing weight fast is not good

It is a common myth that losing significant amount of weight in a rapid manner is not good. It affects health if an individual loses weight really quickly with an extremely restrictive diet. Studies have showed that the long term effect of this loss of weight was the same for both low energy diet and very low energy diet.

The mass loss of the body is only about losing calories

According to an old 3500 calories rule, weight alters about 2.2 lb with a 3500 calories collective rise or shortage. This rule states that an individual who increase his/her energy expenditure by 100 calories, will lose 50 pounds in 5 years by walking 1 mile daily. Fact says that, weight loss of a common person at the end of 5 years of training, can only be 10 pounds if intake of calories is not increased.

So just losing calories, doesn't mean the excess mass of the body is lost.

Physical education classes help kids to lose weight

Physical education classes alone cannot help in losing weight for kids in different schools. However, it is true that if children take part in physical activities then they can fight obesity and also reduce significant amount of weight. However, the ways in which the physical education classes are conducted, are not good as they do not actually provide any physical activity to the kids. They are just taken outdoors without participating in any activity.

If you are not really prepared, you cannot lose weight

It is a myth which people have believed since a long time. You cannot lose weight unless you are really prepared mentally. Readiness is not a standard of weight loss. It doesn't necessarily mean that if you are ready, you are going to lose weight drastically. If you have signed up for a mass loss program, then you must be ready to undergo the training required to lose excessive weight.
These are the top 5 weight loss myths which have been set straight for you, so that the next time you start working out, you do not believe these myths blindly.

Weight Loss and Staying Motivated

Weight loss can be a challenge especially when it comes to finding ways to stay motivated. It is especially discouraging if you are working hard and seeing no results. It is difficult to take into consideration that it will take time for your body to start to process the changes, and that it will take time for you to start to see any results and that in some cases weight gain is you building muscle rather than gaining weight. All of these factors can sometimes make it harder for a person to lose the weight they are trying to achieve.

I am right there with you when it comes to finding ways to stay motivated. For me the catalyst that sparked my strong burning desire to lose the weight was when I was told I was pre-diabetic. Having witnessed people close to me succumb to this disease I was initially devastated. My first reaction was grief. I thought about how I would not get to be here for my children and how everything was going to be different. This sadness turned around though when my doctor told me that I could reverse the damage if I lost weight.

It seemed condescending at first and to be honest I was angry at that comment. After time went by that anger turned into resolution, I realized that what he was really saying to me was that my fate was not sealed. I had options. A very clear option, lose the weight.

With that I resolved to prepare myself to do just that. I started slowly, making some food changes, becoming more active, and I lost a couple of inches but no pounds. I went to see specialists, nutritionist, and more, you name it and chances are I went to see them, looked it up online, or gave them a call to ask questions.

I had found my motivator. My motivator was my desire to beat diabetes and that helped me to continue to push through when things got difficult or when progress was slow. Today I have made some drastic changes and the weight is starting to come off. It is a fantastic feeling but my journey is just getting started. For you, you may not have any health concerns at the moment that can be the lasting motivation that you need to make the changes that need to be made.

The question you will need to ask yourself is "what will motivate me to keep focused on reaching my goals?" or "What will motivate me through the temptation?" When you have the answer to either of these questions you have everything you need to lose the weight while staying motivated.

When setting a weight-loss goal, divide it into long-term and short-term objectives. If your long-term objective is to lose a total of 20 pounds, then your short term objective should be to try to lose 1 pound per week. If you can reach your short term goal every week, it will help you to be positive about the long-term objective. Goal-setting techniques increase the chances of a successful weight-loss plan.

Avoid candy bars, crackers, sodas, cookies, and the like, and replace them with things like fresh vegetables, ready made salads, frozen fruits and vegetables, and the like.

Add a little more protein to your diet to stop you from eating any junk food in between meals. A good way to do that is to eat a part-skim mozzarella cheese stick, a boiled egg, or a few nuts after each and every meal and you will feel fuller and snack less.

Studies have shown that adding pepper to your food can help you lose weight. This spice actually increases the amount of calories you work off each day and keeps you from feeling hungry between meals. This is particularly true if the food seasoned with the pepper is full of fat, sugar or salt.

Soda is one of the most harmful drinks to your body. It will help pack on the pounds, it has no nutritional value, and it can actually erode the lining of your stomach. Put down the soda and grab water, and you will be amazed to see a boost in your weight loss.

You need to understand that it is okay to ask for help if you are not sure of something. if you are at a restaurant and you are unsure of what your best options are to keep things healthy you can ask your server, who should be more than willing to help.

Eating your fat is important for losing weight. There are bad fats and good fats. Bad fats are saturated fats like those in meat and dairy products. Good fats include fats like the ones found in foods such as nuts, fish, and olives. Good fat consumption will help you lose body fat.

Watch out for light products, remember just because it is low fat does not necessary mean it is low in calories. A lot of light foods contain simple sugars to make up for their loss of taste, this giving them calories. The best thing to do is carefully read all product labels.
