How Celebrities Lose Weight?

Whether it's Jennifer Lopez's butt or Jennifer Aniston's thin waistline, Angelina Jolie's well-defined jawline or Hale berry's unmatchable silhouette, almost all women have a secret desire to have equally perfect body parts. Women, which includes me as well, look up to them for inspiration to lose weight and to have a perfect 10 figure. We all want to know the kind of diet or exercise routines these celebrities follow, which keeps them in perfect shape. Since I was very curious to know their secrets, I did some research on it and came up with amazing results. Here are a few of them.

Yoga
Yes, just like common people, celebrities depend a great deal on regular exercise routines to lose weight. Actress Jennifer Lopez looks for a balance of mind, body and spirit when exercising and what better way to achieve that than by doing yoga. According to her, along with her regular cardio exercises and weight training, doing feminine exercises greatly helps her to keep her figure intact. Others who vouch for the benefits of doing yoga for losing weight are Gwyneth Paltrow, Meg Ryan, Madonna and Ricky Martin. So practice yoga regularly. There are a number of DVD's that are available in the market, which come with yoga instructions by a guru or sometimes even by a celebrity. You can buy these and make your own exercise routine, or alternately, you can join a yoga class to lose weight.

Exercise
Celebrities like Heidi Klum, Melanie Brown and Denise Richards, shocked everyone when they lost close to thirty-forty pounds, within months of their delivery. According to them, exercising everyday under a personal trainer is an excellent way to lose weight. An exercise regimen which is a mix of cardiovascular exercises, stretches as well as weight training is ideal for weight loss.

Vegetarian Diet
A vegetarian diet is the key to losing weight and staying fit. Pamela Anderson, Natalie Portman and Alicia Silverstone, who are confirmed vegetarians, are well-known for their beautiful bodies as well. Vegetables and fruits, especially the ones which are high in fiber, such as broccoli, beans, avocado, mushrooms, potatoes, spinach, pumpkin, apples, oranges, guavas and peas, should be included in the diet. This is because fiber rich foods make a person feel fuller for a longer time, and hence reduce the overall food and calorie intake. Besides, high fiber vegetarian foods, high protein food items, such as low fat milk, low fat cheese and yogurt, should also be taken as they help in maintaining the muscle mass, thus aiding in body's fat burning process.

Famous Celebrity Diets to Lose Weight

Five Factor Diet
This diet is very famous among the celebrities and promises to show results in just five weeks. It is based on the philosophy that small meals should be taken five times a day, and each meal should be prepared from five different ingredients. According to this diet, there are five cheat days, i.e., one per week when the people following this diet can take a break from it. In addition to the diet routines, there is a twenty five minute workout routine which has to be performed daily.

Atkins Diet
This diet is based on the philosophy that the diet should be such that it shifts the body in a state of ketosis, by which the body uses fat as a kind of fuel, resulting in immediate weight loss. In the first two weeks of this diet, a person eats only fats, cheese and meats. Carbohydrates are almost eliminated from the diet. From the third week onwards, carbohydrates are reintroduced into the diet. However, high sugar foods and refined foods such as white flour have to be completely eliminated.

Blood Group Diet
This diet is based on the philosophy that lectins in food will react differently to all the blood groups, hence, a person with a particular blood group should eat only certain kinds of foods to stay thin and fit. For example, people with blood group O, are recommended to include lots of meats in their diet. Blood group A people should eat mostly vegetarian foods and completely refrain from red meat. Blood group B people should eat lots of dairy foods and blood group AB should eat a diet which is mix of that recommended for blood groups A and B.

Although on a personal level, I still feel that instead of blindly following what they do, one should stick to a healthy diet which is a mix of foods from all the three major groups, i.e. carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Along with this, one can incorporate a lot of good things in the daily routine such as exercising everyday, practicing yoga, eating vegetarian food and consuming small meals. These are the best ways to lose weight and remain healthy.
